Method:
Boil some water with salt in a tumbler. Add the soya chunks to the boiling water and cook till the soya chunks are soft. Drain and run it through cold water. Squeeze and set it aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard. Once it starts spluttering, add jeera, curry leaves. Add onions, turmeric and a pinch of salt and saute for a minute. Add the tomatoes and mix well. Cook covered till the tomatoes are soft. Add the cooked soya chunks and rasam powder (1 ½ tbsp is enough, add 2 tbsp if you want more spice). Adjust salt. Pour water just to cover the whole mixture. Boil the mixture till the raw smell of rasam powder is gone. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice, roti’s, chapati’s…..
