Tomato Curry / Tomato gojju

Tomatoes
3 medium
Chopped
Oil
3-4 tbsp

Mustard
1 tsp

Jeera
1 tsp

Urad dal
1 tsp

Curry leaves
1 sprig

Coconut
3-4 tbsp
Dessicated
Turmeric powder
¼ tsp

Sugar
¼ tsp

Salt
To taste

Chilli powder
1 tsp
More if you want more spicy
Coriander leaves
2-3 tbsp


Method:

Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, add urad dal, mustard seeds. Once it starts spluttering, add jeera, curry leaves and chopped tomatoes. Add a pinch of salt, sugar, turmeric powder and mix well. Cook covered till tomatoes are soft and oil separates. Adjust salt to taste and add coconut. Mix well and cook covered for a minute more.





Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, roti’s, chapati’s etc….
