Tomato Chutney
















Servings: 2-3

Ingredients:

Content

Tomatoes
2 small
Chopped
Onion
1 small
Sliced thinly
Oil
1 tbsp +1 tbsp

Jeera
1 tsp +1 tsp

Urad dal
1 tsp

Salt
To taste

Sugar
¼ tsp

Chilli powder
½ tsp

Curry leaves
2-3

Mustard
1 tsp

Turmeric powder
¼ tsp


Method:

Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan. Add jeera. Once it starts popping, add urad dal. Saute. Add the onions, tomatoes, salt, sugar, chilli powder, turmeric powder and cook covered till tomatoes are soft. Cool and grind the mixture to a smooth paste. Temper with mustard, jeera and curry leaves.







Serve with rice, roti’s, chapati's, dosa’s, idli’s….
