|
Method:
Wash and soak
moong dal in ½ a cup of water covered for 5 minutes. Add more water, turmeric,
salt and cook on low flame till the dal is soft and starts to mix with water
completely. Add jaggery and coconut at this point and mix well. Once the jaggery
melts and starts to get thicker, add water to adjust thickness and bring it to
a boil. Take it off the heat. Temper with ghee, raisins and cashewnuts.
Serve hot /
chilled.
