Peanut masala














Servings: 3-4

Ingredients:

Peanuts
1 bowl
Whole peanuts boiled in salt water, drained and peeled
Oil
2-3 tbsp

Jeera
1 tsp

Green chillies
3-4
Slit
Curry leaves
1 sprig

Coriander leaves
2-3 tbsp

Onion
1 medium
Thinly sliced
Salt
To taste

Sugar
¼ tsp

1 tsp

Lime juice
½ a lime

Chat masala
1 tbsp


Method:

Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add jeera. Once it starts popping, add curry leaves, green chillies, onions, salt to taste and saute till onions are translucent. Add the cooked peanuts, sugar, jeerapowder, chat masala and mix it on low flame for a minute. Take it off the heat. Sprinkle lime juice and mix. Garnish with coriander leaves.



Serve it as a side-dish or as a chat…

Note:

Do not add too much of salt while roasting onions as peanuts are already cooked in salt water.
