Dry fruit Halwa

Soaked in water overnight and pureed
Dry coconut/Copra
1 cup
Grated
Almonds
10-15
Chopped
Raisins
½ cup

Dates

3-4 tbsp

Poppy seeds
2-3 tbsp














Method:

Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add edible gum. Saute till it puffs up. Remove and set aside in a plate. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in the same pan and add chopped almonds, dates, raisins and roast for 2 mins. Remove it to the same plate as the edible gum. Now add poppy seeds and roast for a min and remove it. Add the grated copra and saute for a min. Remove it to the plate. 

Add the fig puree and a bit of water and a tsp of jaggery. Bring it to a boil. Add the roasted mixture and mix on low flame for a minute. Turn off the heat. Let it cool. Serve.

Note:


1. Do not refrigerate as it might lose the taste.

2. The edible gum added is good for spinal cord and helps strengthen the back.

3. If you don't find edible gum you can choose not to add.
