Moong sprouts khichdi / Green gram sprouts khichdi

Ingredients:


Content

Moong sprouts
½ cup

Cooked Rice
1 cup

Ghee
2 tbsp

Jeera
1 tsp

Oil
2 tbsp

Water
As required

Salt
To taste

Turmeric
A pinch
















Method:

Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add jeera to it.


Once jeera starts popping, add sprouts, turmeric and mix well.


Add rice and mix well. 

Add water to cover the mixture and salt and mix. Cook covered for 3-4 whistles.

Cool the cooker and add a bit water and ghee and mix on medium flame.


Serve hot with curd or pickle as per your choice.

Tips:

If you want you can use leftover rice or uncooked rice. If using uncooked rice, add 3 times water than rice and cook on low flame for 3-4 whistles.
