Coconut chutney
















Servings: 2



Ingredients:

Coconut
½ cup
Desiccated
Red chilies
2-3
Depending on how much spicy you like
Salt
To taste

Oil
1 tsp + 1 tsp

Curry leaves
1 sprig

Peanuts
2 tsp

Tamarind
A small piece

Water
As required

Onion
1 small
Chopped finely
Sugar
A pinch

Mustard seeds
1 tsp

Jeera
1 tsp

















Method:

Heat a teaspoon of oil in a small pan. Add peanuts to a pan and fry for a minute, remove it to the blender.


Add red chilies, fry and remove it to a blender.


Add tamarind piece and fry for a second and put it in the blender. Cool it.


Add coconut, salt and sugar to the blender. Grind it finely. Remove it to a bowl.


Add the finely chopped onions and mix.



Heat a tsp of oil in the small pan, add mustard seeds. Once they start spluttering, add jeera and curry leaves and pour this to the chutney.

Serve with dosa, idli....
