Easy pulav recipe

For tempering
Mustard seeds
1 tsp

Jeera
1 tsp

Cloves
2-3

Cinnamon
A small piece (1 inch)

Bay leaf
1 small

Elaichi / cardamom
1

Vegetables chopped
1 ½ cup
Capsicum, carrot, beans, cauliflower florets, broccoli, green peas, onion, spring onion….
Salt
To taste

Sugar
A pinch

Jeera powder
1 tbsp

Coriander powder
1 tbsp

Garam masala powder
1 tbsp

Water
2 cups

Rice
1 cup
Washed and drained
Turmeric
A pinch

Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp


























Method:


Heat oil in cooker, add mustard, jeera, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, elaichi, and saute till the aroma starts coming. Add ginger garlic paste and saute. Add onion and saute till translucent. Add the rest of vegetables and turmeric and saute. Add the washed rice and saute. Add coriander powder, jeera powder and garam masala powder and mix. Add water, salt and sugar and mix. Cover the cooker lid and give it three whistles. Cool the cooker and serve pulav with raita.
