Tomato basil soup / Tamatar ka shorba

Ingredients:

Content

Tomatoes
3 medium

Basil leaves
1 cup
Washed and chopped
Salt
To taste

Water
As required

Onion
1 medium
Sliced
Garlic
4-5 cloves
Halved
Olive oil
2 tbsp
Any oil can be used
Pepper
To taste









Method:

Heat water in a vessel and add salt. Slice the stem of the tomatoes and make light slit marks diagonally on the tomatoes. Once the water starts boiling, add the tomatoes. Switch off the heat and keep it covered for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, it will look like this.


Heat oil, add garlic and saute. Add onions and saute till translucent. Add the chopped basil leaves and saute till cooked. Quarter the tomatoes and mix it with roasted ingredients. Switch off the heat and set it aside to cool. Grind the mixture.



Boil the ground mixture with salt and pepper. Adjust the water consistency.


Serve hot.
